Kamaljit "KJ" Mallhi is a formally-trained Industrial Designer with years of experience ranging across use cases and forms, including furniture and home goods, consumer packaging, tech and electronic products, retail spaces, and brand experience. An eternal optimist, KJ is energized and driven by creating solutions to previously unsolved challenges, inspiring users, and society as a whole, to feel, think, and interact in fresh and new ways. KJ doesn’t believe these solutions simply arise, but are found and revealed through the design process, or journey. Whether called design thinking or design strategy, this process allows for thorough immersion, challenging assumptions, and gaining unique insights-- from which elegant solutions arise. The best of these solutions see users as culture, products as artifacts, events as moments, and experiences as journeys. Currently, KJ is passionate about exploring new applications for his design skills, creating synergy between industrial design, UX, and brand strategy, and seeing industrial design as a core component of solving society’s grandest challenges.
